Met dit in gedachten is Gus* er trots op gecertificeerd te zijn door de Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC® 092551). Deze certificering biedt een controleerbare manier om te garanderen dat hout afkomstig is van verantwoorde bronnen, waardoor consumenten aankoopbeslissingen kunnen nemen die het milieu ten goede komen.

Our forests provide clean water, purify the air, maintain biodiversity, provide habitat for species, and play a central role in reducing the impacts of climate change. When managed responsibly, forests are also a source of renewable and recyclable products such as lumber, furniture, and paper.
The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) is an international, independently audited certification and labeling system that allows buyers to choose paper and wood products that come from responsibly managed forests, and verified recycled sources. Under FSC® certification, forests are certified against a set of strict environmental and social standards, and fibre from certified forests is tracked all the way to the consumer through the Chain of Custody certification system.
FSC® certification provides a verifiable way to ensure that wood comes from responsible sources, enabling consumers to make purchasing decisions that benefit the environment. Only companies that have an FSC® certification number, and that submit to a rigorous and ongoing auditing process to ensure compliance with strict FSC® standards and principles, may claim to be FSC®-Certified or claim to use FSC®-Certified wood.
